WATERFORD GARDENS

The Four Step Installation

First Step

(1) Lay out desired pond shape - with garden hose or flexible material. Choose a level location. Excavate pond to a depth of 18 - 36 + inches deep.

A marginal plant area may be made by building a shelf 6 inches below the surface.

Pond Liners

(2) Remove all sharp objects - and put several inches of sand in the bottom of the excavation. Use old carpet padding to cushion the sidewalls. Carefully check to see that the rim is level.

Pond Liners

(3) Drape liner over the excavation - with an even overlap around the edges. A double layer may be placed under very heavy rocks. Keep some tension on the surface as you fill with water to even out the wrinkles. The water will mold the liner tightly in its place.

(4) Sit back and enjoy!
