Standing out from the crowd of other sky-blue flowers, this one has dramatic dark stamens in the flower’s center changing its appearance each day. Large and fast growing plant with sturdy leaves, for problem koi or large frogs.

Flowers:
Petals deep sky blue then lighter blue in bright sunny weather. Shape stellate.size 10-12 in. with faint fragrance.
Leaves:
Top color olive green, underside, purple-blue. Nearly round, sharply serrated.

Situation:
Full sun, 6 to 12” water depth over top of pot.
Characteristics:
Nonviviparous, free flowering.
Notes:
This is a unique waterlily. Its large blue flowers with very dark, almost black, violet stamens give a very striking effect.
